One World, Many Opportunities: YOU have the power to change the world

About Me

Welcome to my blog — One World, Many Opportunities.

As you can see, I am passionate about service learning and cross cultural exhange for the benefit of all people worldwide. Together, we have unlimited opportunties to improve the world we live in.

I have a passion for travel and cultural understanding that began at the age of 5 when I found myself spinning the globe, closing my eyes and pointing to places I wanted to visit, live, and learn. I became passionate about service learning through an exchange scholarship, the LEAD Program in Business at Columbia University.

This passion was further fueled by obtaining a Social Justice Scholarship at Loyola University in New Orleans where I obtained a dual degree in Sociology and Classical Studies. Here, I felt these international connections even more deeply and strived to make the world a better place. My special interests are in the fields of International Health and Sustainable Development.

I am currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Nevada, Reno where I hope to pursue these interests even further and obtain the skills necessary to realize my career objectives.  I hope to be able to obtain my PhD in International Development and work towards Service Learing and International Exchange objectives throughout my career.

I seek to promote international understanding, networks, and links for the betterment of a worldwide, connected society in the hopes that one day, as a community, we can achieve a sustainable future for all.

Hi Karen –

It is nice to meet a kindred connection!

Thanks for your comments. I look forward to continuing to develop my blog.

I just researched VolunteerSpot and it looks like a fabulous organization that aligns with my values and goals. I will be happy to add it to my BlogRoll. I would also like to contact you to highlight what this organization has to offer for one of my future blogs.

In solidarity,
Gerold
